Site-Specific Projection / Abandoned H&M Lift

It's kind of hard to describe, I think you will just have to watch it, for me it has this push-pull feel: both, alluring and eerie. A kind of weird appeal. I made this short animation for an installation. It was projected on the lift doors in what had been an H&M store that closed.

The Council had temporarily let the shop be occupied by a group of artists, I was interested in the idea of the shop as a kind of liminal space.The idea of the lift as a kind of portal. I wanted to make something that felt like it was coming from the lift, and that would be a kind of haunting presence in the space left over by fast fashion.
