I’ve been playing around with Old Hollywood icons and the non binary side of gender.
For this animation, I remixed Rock Hudson and Zsa Zsa Gabor, using geometric loops
that peel back like portals into different identities.
I've always liked how golden-era actors performed gender so intensely for the camera,
it's this theatrical, exaggerated mask that feels equal parts comforting and total
camp. I wanted to mix these classic stars with a dark, memento mori vibe, to give it
this trippy look at glamour, death, and peeling back the roles we inhabit.
